A Pajama Day

A while ago I looked at the clock and told Katy that Paul Burton would be leaving work soon. It was 3 PM. She looked down and said, “Well, I guess it is time to get out of these pajamas!” It is now 4:30 and she has decided to go with pajamas for rest of the day. Last night was long and very hard. She knows that tomorrow there will be treatments that must begin again to help her get back on track. None of them are easy. Her pain levels are very high, and food intake has fallen off sharply since last Friday. We are beginning a fourth month now and there is a sorrow in Katy’s eyes that we wish we could take away. Paul prayed this morning that the Lord would keep us from despair. We’ll update as soon as possible after our visit with Dr. Dye tomorrow.

  1. Patricia Hagsten Says:

Oh how quickly change occurs from mountain tops to valleys!
Our hearts go out to all of you.
    Love, Patricia

  2. Laura Griffith Says:

I hope all goes well with the doctor. I’ve been praying for you today. I’m actually lost for words but want you to know ya’ll are still in my thoughts.

    In Christ,

  3. DeeDee Says:

    Dear Katy and family,
Please know first and foremost of my petitions on your behalf and secondly, may these words bring comfort to you….
    Psalm 94:17-19
If the Lord were not my helper, soon my soul would silent be. If I say, “My foot is slipping!” Lord, Your mercy will uphold. When my anxious thoughts are many how Your comforts cheer my soul!

May God’s love and mercy envelope and strengthen you all. DeeDee
