Tucked in for the Night

Paul and I just put Katy to bed. We prayed with her about several things. I have been so thankful that Katy is always ready for prayer. Anytime, day or night, she always has something to add. She was sitting up in bed last night with the worst headache she has ever had, dry heaves and all, and started to pray for three people (Tim, Leslie, and David) to be delivered from their migraine headaches. She whispered to me that she hoped her prayer works because she has a new sympathy for migraine sufferers. Way to go Katy!

If she cannot get to her laptop tomorrow, we will take it to her to read your comments. I don’t know what it was about your comments tonight but Paul and I were encouraged to joy and tears reading them. They were a two kleenex read! We have prayed from the time our children were little that they would always be surrounded by people of deep faith, to show them how to walk in wisdom. Your comments to Katy and our family are the evidence that He has heard our prayer. Thank you all so much.

It was good to talk to you and know exactly how to pray for all of you. I are so glad that Katy is hanging on tightly to Jesus. He IS the one that will see you through. I love you very much!

    Don’t forget the mulch! HeeHee

Call us when you feel up to company and we will come see you. Our mom wants to come see you and your mom, too.

  4. Danae Says:

    Hi Katy,
I’m so sorry about your head! I hope your headache goes away soon - I know I hate them for sure. I’m thinking of and praying for you often.

    I love you!

P.S. I’m so sorry I haven’t sent you pictures. I left my USB cord at home and can’t take the pictures off my camera until I have it. :(

Before I worked in the hostpital all those years, I used to think that people who complained of migrains were just “wimpy.” Boy, did I learn how wrong I was! They truly are debilatating. I trust you’re up in your beautiful room all tucked in and keeping warm and dry on this rainy day. Having your missionary friend come to pray and visit must have been joyful. I know the account of his work in China would have been of real interest to you and your family. I’m listening to Candace and Crystal sing as I work on the bulletin for Sunday. Maybe their music will be a comfort to you today as it is for me. You are in my thoughts and I am praying for you even as I sit here. We love you Katy. May God strengthen your faith today.

  6. Julie Wensley Says:

Hey Katy, We are praying for you today. I sure hope your head is feeling better. I’ve had a migrain only a couple of times and I know they are absolutely miserable.

We’re going to see Danae tonight. They are having Parents Weekend, so we’ll get to meet the group from Cru. I’m excited about that. That group is a real Godsend. She sure is missing you. Both Sandy and Danae have been praying for you and keeping up with your condition every day.

I’m available until we leave this evening, so just let me know if you need anything at all. I’ll be over in a jiffy. I tried to call this morning . . . hopefully you were all sleeping peacefully.

    We love you!

  7. April Lang Says:

Hi Sis! Can’t wait for you to get better again and we will have to hang out!!! Call me when you feel up to it!

    Love ya sis!

    April :-)

  8. Heather Kirkwood Says:

    Hey Katy,
I”m here at work and my computer is running some maintenance programs - so while I’m waiting for them to finish thought I’d check up on you. Hope you’re feeling better today. I’m anxious to hear what the docs. thought from their peek yesterday. I’m so glad the weekend is only a few hours away - I need it! Grin! I hope you’re back to yourself soon! I know this is only a temporary situation - even if it seems like it drags on forever. It won’t.
