We (Dan and Julie) would like to share a bit of the situation as Paul and Dawn are not able to post right now. We know that you are praying for Katy and her parents and we have seen first hand how this is lifting their spirits. I know that many evenings they have read the comments many of you have left here and have had their spirits lifted. Please continue to pray for Katy and her family. Personally, I feel that the situation is desperate. Katy is longing for heaven, even as we tell her we are not ready to let her go.
There are so many calls coming into the Campell’s home right now and the phone lines need to be free for calls from Katy’s medical team. We have seen how their telephone has been ringing of the hook, and they need to attend to Katy and get some rest. When they are home they must answer each call because it might be from someone on Katys medical team. I know they would love to speak with everyone individually and thank you all for your comments, encouragement and offers of assistance. Please know that any comments that you post here are printed out and read to Katy. She always wants to know if there are any new ones.
Because of this situation I would like to ask that calls to offer assistance be made through their pastors wife, Jennifer Blugerman (see phone number below). I know that assistance is needed for meals, sitting with Katy, and doing some housework and yardwork. Please call Jennifer Blugerman - (540) 977-1760, to help with any of these things and check the updates on Katy here on the blog.
[Additional comment added by Dan 1:51pm Tuesday, 10/10/06]. I also want to let you know what a blessing you all are to serve and support this family. Their church family continues to be an amazing example of the body of Christ and true servanthood. To all of you who read this blog regularly and post comments, bless you, for your kindness, prayers, and support for Katy and her family.
