Brief Update

Katy has been feeling pretty bad all day, unable to enjoy her food, and very tired. Her GI tract was inflamed enough to cause her to refuse food most of the day. However, tonight she was able to eat a bowl of soup and just finished a plate of cheese crackers. This is a good sign that the increase in steroids may already be making a difference. We pray every meal that Katy will be able to continue to eat. I am not frantic, as I was the first time this happened to her. I know that there are means to keep her alive, and there are many more physicians here in Roanoke that know how fast they need to move if Katy starts losing ground. We are praying for the mighty hand of God to steady her situation until her alternative treatment begins. Thank you for encouraging her with your comments and thank you for praying for her so diligently.

I am so sorry to hear of this - for your whole family. I know it is not easy to keep your eyes focused on your Lord and ignore the temptation to worry and be distraught. I pray that today is a true Sabbath for you, Katy - that today will be full of rest and peace that allows you to give praise to your Savior. Love you to pieces! Praying for you continually…

    Oh dearest Katy,
I’m so sorry to hear you’re having a rough day. Hang in there because it’s going to get better. It’s been a snowy day here, and I can’t seem to get my feet warm. That’s weird eh?

    Love you!
