Katy ate about four hundred calories today. She also carries her water bottle everywhere and sips it constantly. She is determined to stay out of the hospital and off TPN. We are cheering her on. She has been enjoying more scrapbooking today, and has phoned a couple of friends. All of this is a great improvement over last week. We are so thankful for every day that God gives us, but the good days are our favorites!

Tomorrow, Lord willing, our small group from church which consists of about twelve people will be coming to our home for our regular Sunday meeting. During our time together we sing, read scripture, share prayer requests, pray, and share a meal. This has become Katy’s “church”. She is usually able to join us at the table, or on the roll-away bed nearby, and we all love to have her with us. I’m grateful that God has given her a heart to be with believers, to celebrate and worship with them whether she is able to sit up and take part or not. I think about how precious it must be for Jesus to see that kind of devotion in us. A devotion that will not allow hindrances to rule our lives. God bless your Sabbath day!

What a trooper you are!! I’m so impressed!! There are some days when I need that “keep-going-no-matter-what” attitude too. God is really blessing you!!
I hope your Sunday is restful, peaceful, and joyful.
    Love and prayers,
    Jen :-)

    Go Katy!
I’m so glad to hear this - I’m praying you’ll be getting more energy every day so that by conference time you’ve got some stamina back! I can hardly wait!!! It’s going to be so hard to concentrate this week at work. I’m ready to get on the plane NOW!

    Hey Dawn,

Be sure to put in a prayer request for all the safety travels of those that are coming long distances be it driving or flying to conference. Please give Katy a hug, and tell her that I am glad that she is doing so well!!! I am truly grateful that she isn’t on TPN at the moment. Gotta run
