Katy ate about four hundred calories today. She also carries her water bottle everywhere and sips it constantly. She is determined to stay out of the hospital and off TPN. We are cheering her on. She has been enjoying more scrapbooking today, and has phoned a couple of friends. All of this is a great improvement over last week. We are so thankful for every day that God gives us, but the good days are our favorites!
Tomorrow, Lord willing, our small group from church which consists of about twelve people will be coming to our home for our regular Sunday meeting. During our time together we sing, read scripture, share prayer requests, pray, and share a meal. This has become Katy’s “church”. She is usually able to join us at the table, or on the roll-away bed nearby, and we all love to have her with us. I’m grateful that God has given her a heart to be with believers, to celebrate and worship with them whether she is able to sit up and take part or not. I think about how precious it must be for Jesus to see that kind of devotion in us. A devotion that will not allow hindrances to rule our lives. God bless your Sabbath day!Comments:
