Monday night

Dawn and Katy are both still pretty tired, but it’s a good tired. I think the naps are an effort to catch up on all the sleep they have lost over the last several weeks.

Katy went in for a brief doctor visit today to check up on a couple of things, and other than the tiredness and some minor pain around the incisions she is feeling good. When she wakes up from a nap, her first words usually have something to do with food.

Thank you all for praying, and for your encouraging comments. In a few days we will begin to make some decisions about longer-term HPS treatment, but in the meantime we are content to enjoy the novel experience of being relatively pain-free.

We are about ready to settle down in the living room and watch an old movie. Over the past several weeks, Katy has been watching a lot of movies to take her mind off the pain. Tonight, it is purely for enjoyment. Paul

  3. Heather Kirkwood Says:

Katy, I’m so glad you’re feeling so great! Wouldn’t be wonderful if this turns out to have been the mysterious complication all along? (Not that the HPS stuff wasn’t there too, but maybe this explains some of the “extra” stuff. Wouldn’t it just be such a blessing if you end up not having to do any of the drastic measures for the HPS “stuff.” Maybe this will help your system out just to get some relief.

I haven’t posted very often, but it isn’t that I’m not thinking of you. I’m sleeping way too little and working way too much. We’re having a tough time at work, and I’m just having a hard time balancing everything.

  4. Karen Tillman Says:

I think it is wonderful that you can finally sit down and enjoy a movie for the sheer joy of being with the family and sharing some much needed quality fellowship. Our God is an awesome God and I know He will continue to do great things for us all!!

I’m so happy to read the reports here! From strength to strength….praise the Lord!
