Katy is home. She is sitting up reading a magazine and just finished a little dinner. This is the Lord’s doing. At the hospital yesterday, one of Katy’s nurses came to check on her. Katy was already up taking care of herself and brushing her teeth. Her nurse took my arm and said, “I have been a nurse for 40 years and I have never seen anyone bounce back after gall bladder surgery like this.” I said, “Becky, there are thousands of people praying about this, and what you see is an act of God.” Her eyes twinkled and she said, “That’s exactly right!”
Katy’s eyes are bright and we have noticed the greatest change in her overnight. She told me that she can sit up without pain and I expect that in a couple of days she will be on her computer shouting praise through her keyboard.
Julie encouraged us with this scripture as she related it to the journey our family is on at this time. I’m sure as you head into Monday and a new work week, you will be encouraged too, so I’ll close with this. “Blessed is the man whose strength is in you, whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also covers it with pools. They go from strength to strength; till each one appears before God in Zion.” Psalm 84:5-7. May you go from strength to strength this week no matter what comes your way. We love you. Thank you for praying!Comments:
