The past twenty four hours have been interesting. Katy was not doing very well, so I called her GI doctor yesterday. I told him Katy was having some severe abdominal issues and he told me that if it got worse to take her to the ER. Well, sometime around 11:00pm last night it was worse. I took her over to RMH and true to form, we were there for hours. The tests that were run determined that she has some things going well, but her kidneys aren’t functioning properly. While it is painful, the results were not enough to check for kidney stones or anything like that. We returned home at 4:30 this morning and I gave her some strong pain medication to help her sleep. She slept four hours and decided it was better to get up and busy herself than to lie in bed in pain. We both got some work done, then went to an antique store where she found a perfect little chair for her writing desk. We went from there to her other doctor where she had a procedure done to find the source of some bleeding issues. It appears that there are some areas where the Remicade may already be at work healing her GI tract.
Looking forward to the weekend, Katy and I are going to have some fun! We have a bridal shower on Saturday. Later in the afternoon we are excited about going to a wedding where Paul Burton will be playing the guitar and viola for the ceremony. The weather looks like it will be perfect for an outdoor wedding! We plan to get out and breathe in the fresh air, because spring has finally arrived here in Virginia. And then there is the Sabbath day. A day of rest. We look forward to that with sweet anticipation.Comments:
