Prayer request

During the night, Katy awoke in the same terrific pain she had before the Remicade. She is not able to move or eat without pain. We are giving her the maximum amount of pain medication, and it is not really helping. We know that the first dose of Remicade is a light one. It may have worn off. Please help us pray Katy through this difficult time. Her next treatment is not until this coming Wednesday. I have left a message with her doctor. Being the weekend, I hope and pray something can be done, but if not, she has been through this before and with patience and prayer we can get through it.

  1. Sandy Says:

Oh boy, what a shock that must have been. Katy is in my prayers as always. I hope something can be done to help before Wednesday.

  2. Trisha Ferris Says:

The see-saw must be getting uncomfortable, but it sounds like the up times are increasing & lasting longer. I’m praying daily for you & all the family. Yeah for the remicade & for the God who enabled many people to develop it.

  3. Jennifer S. :-) Says:

I’ll be praying the doctor checks his voice mail! Hang in there Katy, they’ll get this figured out. We’re praying for you!!
    Love and prayers,
    Jen :-)

  4. Lillian Oliveira Says:

Just found this after I wrote with the prayer request. Oh, Oh,…Oh my! That hurts. Theonly redeeming thing is that Jesus is in the suffering. You are getting a lot of the experience of “sharing in His sufferings”, as Paul said:

“I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus, my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish…”

“I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings…”

“But our citizenship is in heaven, and we EAGERLY await a Savious from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power than enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.” Phil 3:8,10,20-21.

Praying for you all, much love, Aunt Lil

  5. andrea russell Says:

  6. Karen Tillman Says:

  7. Heather Kirkwood Says:

Don’t get too discouraged. This is just another “bump” on the journey. I haven’t been online much lately because my joints have been bothering me and it’s made typing hard. They are better, thank the Lord - but I’m behind as a result. I haven’t forgotten about you Katy! I pray for you daily!

  8. Sheena Says:

    Hi Katy

I don’t know if I shared this with you before or not but its my fav poem, I hope you feel better real soon and we are praying for you here in NL as well. The poem is called Don’t Quit………..

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road your trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and its turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When they might have won, had they stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the struggler has given up
    When he might have captured the victors cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt
And you never can tell how close you are,
    It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when your hardest hit,
It’s when things seem worst that you mustn’t quit!
