Our House

We are all at home. We have been all day. Paul and I woke up in the early morning hours with a suspicious churning feeling in our tummies. We’ve spent the rest of the day trying to keep something down. Katy has spent the day upstairs in her room with HPS related problems, while we have used the bathrooms downstairs. We are not a healthy looking bunch tonight. When you think about the number of germs and viruses that surround us everyday, it is amazing that we only feel like this about once every two years.

We’ll feel more like posting tomorrow. It was fun to read your stories today! When I asked for them I didn’t know how much Paul and I would appreciate them also. Last night, Paul’s funny story had to do with catching a mouse in a bucket by balancing a ruler over the top of the bucket with a treat on the end of it. The mouse was supposed to walk out onto the ruler, tip it into the bucket, and be trapped in there until freed. I thought he was very clever to try that. However, the mouse fell into the bucket as planned, then used the ruler like a little ramp to take himself back out! HA!

We look forward to a good night’s sleep and hope for a better day tomorrow for all.

    Dawn,
I had that same “churning” in the wee hours of Saturday morning . . . however, mine blossomed into a full blown gastrointestinal bug. Thankfully, it doesn’t last very long! Take heart, you and Paul will feel better soon.
    Love,

Sorry you all are not feeling well. You are in my prayers. And on a lighter note, I want to tell the world what I just found out - Yesterday morning, my third great-grandchild was born. She was 20 inches long and weighed 7 lb. 2 oz. Her name is Keely Susanna Littrell.

Correction. Keely was born Wednesday night.

I still got it wrong; Keely was born Tuesday night. I had my days mixed up.

Dear ones, I surely hope everyone is feeling much better by now and that you’ll all be able to be in church tomorrow! We got back from Brazil yesterday, glad, SO GLAD for a warm, spacious home! The temps in S. Paulo took a most unusual May dip right after we got there, and homes are not heated! Low 50s to mid-60s and NO HEAT IN THE HOMES! Well, we wore a LOT of clothes and rejoiced in the warmth of fellowship with dear Christian family we had not seen for several years.

Katy, dear, I hope you will be greatly encouraged by the church services tomorrow, I pray that Jesus will give you a special message of comfort and courage! Have you ever since Chalcedony? I think I told you about it - one of the stones in the 13 foundations of the New Jerusalem. I am going to bring you a piece of it in “pedra bruta”, unpolished ore.

Love you much and always praying! Aunt Lil
