Sunday night

Katy has hit a speed bump again. This time it may be a simple virus, but she has had a very sore throat since the middle of the night on Thursday. It is not improving but the strep test on Friday was negative. She has not had much strength or energy and has stayed in bed over the weekend. I’ll take her to the doctor tomorrow to see if her white cell count is up. We are hoping there will be a simple explanation for the sore throat and swollen glands.

We are learning that Remicade treatments have certain side effects for Katy. She has had three of them now, and each time it has taken her awhile to get back on her feet. When she is feeling better I’m sure she’ll contact some of the people in the HPS network to find out if this is a normal occurrence.

This has been a beautiful day here in Virginia. The trees on the mountainside are fluffy green, and on the way to church this morning Paul and I were looking at a field of red poppies in the foreground, the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in the background, and felt blessed to live in such a beautiful place. Our drive to church is our worship before the worship!

    Katy,
I do hope and pray that your sore throat goes away soon. They’re no fun! Enjoy your extended bed time (I wouldn’t mind it some days! ;) ) and hopefully you’ll be back on your feet again soon. :)
    Love and prayers,
    Jen :)

    Hi Katy,
I am sorry to hear about your sore SORE throat. I will pray that it goes away quickly, and you are feeling better. For some reasons, sore throats seem to be particularly painful.
Reading this web site has been a hug blessing for me. I am sorry that I don’t comment often, but I do pray for you.
    In Christ’s love,
    And only because of Him
