Early this morning we opened the huge and wonderful windows in Katy’s hospital room. We laid in her bed in the quiet watching the sky in the east. When a new baby day was born she squeezed my hand and said, “Mom, I am so glad you were born!” It took me a little by surprise because she had been having a hard time keeping track of the calendar. You just can’t get any better than that.
The care Katy is receiving is excellent. Her doctors are right on top of her electrolyte challenges and have had bags of potassium hung within minutes of low lab reports. She has been struggling to even sit up today. They have been in every two hours to check on her. This calms our hearts. And we see by her faith that the Lord Himself is her strength and strong tower.
Paul is at the hospital for the evening and Aunt Lil and I are going out for dinner. We’ll stop to have a look at the wildflower garden on top of Mill Mountain. While it is hard to leave the hospital I want to be a woman of faith. I’ll leave my cares with the One Who knows everything about Katy, and celebrate that He loves me and gave me such a wonderful life.Comments:
