The fun of today started at 4:00 AM. I was sleeping on a portable bed and from Katy’s bed I heard, “Mom, the pain in my back is gone!” I opened my eyes to see that she was standing and confessed that she had gotten up several times to use the bathroom while I slept. Then she said, “I have to eat, Mom!” The only thing in the room happened to be two of her favorite things. There was a piece of apple cake with cream cheese frosting and peanut butter cookies. She ate it all and washed it down with a big glass of water. I hoped she wouldn’t feel sick afterward and she wasn’t. It perked her up so much she got up and took a shower and washed her hair. Doctors visited all morning and stopped in their tracks when they saw her. She is so strong today that there is no denying God has done a great work in her physical health. The platelets have helped a tremendous amount. When I left her with Julie tonight she was planning to walk to the snack machine with her Aunt Julie for a little something before bed time.
I have so much to write about. I plan to do so when Katy is home and settled in. We have learned so much about God’s mighty Hand. It stretches to cover the greatest need, and we have certainly been in awe. God has heard your prayers for Katy and in the fullness of time she will be able to tell the world about it in her own words. We love you, and thank you for your support.Comments:
