Today Katy slept most of the day. She is surprised by her exhaustion, but I am not. I am thankful that she is wanting to stay quiet because there is a lot of healing going on with her body. She has a cheerful heart and we have had a lot of laughs between her naps.

It appears as though the antibiotic she is on is helping with her infection and she said she feels stronger today. My update will be brief tonight, but our gratitude for these times of rest is huge! Thank you all so much for your prayers.

Below is a picture taken on Saturday, the day we returned home.

Thank you for the post! We have been anxious for word, but did not want to call and disturb any rest you might be getting! We are thankful that Katy is getting some much needed and well deserved sleep. Thank you for keeping us updated. You know where we are if you need anything!!

  2. Sandy Says:

The exhaustion is totally understandable. Just being under general anesthesia (let alone having major surgery) can wipe you out for a couple of weeks.

Take good care, Katy!! Prayers and hugs continue from here.

  3. Beth Sprankle Says:

I am praying as you are busy healing!

  4. Karen Tillman Says:

    Hey Katy,

Glad to see you headed home after such an ordeal. I just pray that you will continue to heal, and you just need to continue to take it easy until you are strong.
    Love and prayer
    Karen Tillman

  5. Aleah Yunger Says:

Still beautiful as ever :) glad to hear you are getting plenty of rest. Keep that up and soon you’ll be ready to go again! ~Aleah
