Remicade Treatment

Everything went well today during Katy’s treatment. We left the hospital at 6:30 and headed home. It was after rush hour traffic so driving through downtown was a breeze. Katy was so thankful for the early Remicade treatment, and so are we. Her body will need a couple of days to adjust and heal. Tonight she is in bed early and back on pain medication. We know we need to be patient with the process but still pray for quick relief. Thank you all for your prayers. I’ll write more tomorrow. We are all pretty tired tonight and ready to turn in early.

Katy checked the blog before going to bed and really had a great treat reading the comments including the poem!

  1. Heather Kirkwood Says:

So glad to hear it all went well. Sleep well.

  2. Sandy Says:

So glad to hear things went well. I was thinking about you all. I hope today is full of rest and peace.

  3. Jes Says:

Yes - hoping you rest well today and that the Remicade works quickly!!!!

    Love ya’ll!

  4. Doris Harriff Says:

Amen to all the other comments! And Katy, don’t be disappointed if you can’t just get up and go right away; you just had major surgery; even minor surgery can drain you for some time. Give yourself plenty of time to heal!

  5. Alicia Richardson Says:

  6. Patricia Says:

PTL!!! … for ALL the blessings from Whom ALL things flow! Yes, you’ve been tested and proven yourselves faithful in the past; God knows, even if the answer had been “no” or “no now” that you still would have been faithful.

Have you ever considered starting a foundation or support group for India ….. for Katy’s fellow citizens who don’t have access to all the best doctors or medicines or resources you have?????

Blessed ……. to be a blessing!!!

When does your little daughter arrive???

    Have a truly special 4th!

How about Paulie??? Sorry, ahem….Paul Burton?!!! With his skills, knowledge and compassion ….could he consider taking a year-long sabbatical and doing something like this in India to get it started????
