We left the hospital today with so much hope and joy in our hearts that I told Katy even the sky looked bluer and the clouds fluffier. Her new doctor is committed to Katy. It was obvious from the beginning of the appointment. He left his morning appointments open for just one patient; Katy. She explained the physical challenges of the last year and the course of treatments she had been given. Two hours into the story he began to formulate a plan of action and discussed options with her. Before we left his office he stuck his head back into the room and said, “I was watching the clock this morning waiting for you to get here because I was looking forward to meeting you!” He has ordered many tests that should help him get a better picture of how Katy’s body is functioning.
Paul and I have been praying as hard as we knew how for a day like this. I know many many others have too. When we told the doctor we were a family with a very strong faith in God he seemed interested. I asked him about his own faith and with a bright cheerful smile he said, “Well, I can tell you I’m a Christian!” Katy and I were bold and told him about Katy’s heavenly encouragement during her suffering. It was such a blessing to see him respond with smiles, questions, and positive comments. We feel like we are on the edge of an adventure and we’ll keep telling you the story as it unfolds.
Great is thy faithfulness, Oh God, my Father.Comments:
