Sleeping Lions

Katy has fallen into a very deep sleep since late yesterday. When we wake her she asks for food, but we have to rouse her in order for her to feel hunger. She said she is sleeping so deeply she does not feel her pain or hives. How merciful it is to see her sleeping so deeply and be at rest the night before her Remicade treatment. It is a heavenly sleep. Heavenly because she has been sleeping without the aid of pain medication. She believes the Lord has heard her prayer and yours and He is causing her to rest with this deep sleep. She had been taking some very strong pain medication until yesterday afternoon when this heavy blanket of sleep started. So for those of you who have prayed for rest, your prayers are being answered exceeding beyond all we could ask or think! Thank you all for your prayers. This has been such a tough time but it is producing patience and hope.

I am so thankful that Katy is resting. Next to laughter, it is good for healing not only the body, but the spirit. I do hope that the infusion goes well tomorrow, and that all of our prayers for rest and comfort have come to pass.
    Love always

  8. Trisha Ferris Says:

    Katy,
I just finished watching a delightful film, “Miss Potter”, about the life of Beatrix Potter. I think you & Dawn & probably Paul, too, would enjoy it. It made me want to go out & buy up farmland & preserve it for my grandchildren’s grandchildren!
Continuing to pray for your recovery & for an extended time of stable health.
    In the Lamb,
    Trisha

  9. Jes Says:
