Tuesday Evening

Katy had a quiet day and needed a lot of sleep. There is some discouragement on her part that she is low on energy. She loves to help with housework and it bothers her to see me doing it by myself. I have to say I miss her, too! But for now we know that it is the most important thing she can do to just simply rest.

I can tell I’ve been doing a lot of other things besides homemaking in the past few weeks. I had nine loads of laundry today and all the bedding was dried my favorite way; on the clothes line. We are all looking forward to crawling in to crisp, line-dried cotton sheets tonight. The Lord provided the sunshine and breeze, so I’ll be sure to fall asleep giving thanks.

Dawn, I always hang most of my clothes out if the weather permits. I did so today. I especially like the line-dried linens.

Katy, don’t be too impatient to get your energy back. It takes time to heal from major surgery, and your body is telling you to take it easy.

  2. Jennifer Blugerman Says:

Katy, I know you are ready to be out of bed, but listen to your body and rest. Perhaps in the cool of the morning or evening you can rest on the bed outside on your top porch and enjoy the sights and sounds of the summer and the cool breezes that make their way across the yard! Makes me want to crawl in with you!! ;-)
