So Much FUN!

Paul and I were sitting downstairs reading the President’s address to the VFW, and Katy was upstairs this evening with Aleah, who many of you know by reading the blog comments. I have always enjoyed her comments and have marveled that she is a young college girl because she seems wise beyond her years. I’ve thought about some of the things she has said on the blog and wondered what God has in store for her that He would pour out His wisdom through her. She has a whole generation to reach with His word, and she is making a good start. Paul and I were sitting in the kitchen and the girls were upstairs when suddenly the house filled with the musical laughter. They laughed so loud and hard that it started us laughing downstairs. And I thought, “O Lord, You are so wonderful to give us the sound of laughter in our home.” I hope you had plenty of it around your house today. We have lived so many serious moments over the past year that the sound of laughter in the house is a huge blessing.

Annelise tried out her new swing today and the higher we pushed the swing the louder she squealed with delight. That was a joy to behold. She would open her mouth really wide and let out a giggling squeal. I have a picture of her in her swing and Ellie in the background eating pecans. We discovered last Saturday that we have a pecan tree and this is the first year it is producing. Ellie is happy to take care of the ones that have fallen early. Even the dog had fun today.

We have finalized the plans for our trip to get Qavah, and we leave on Monday. We are investing the day on Friday in prayer for this whole event. We especially pray that Qavah will love the idea of coming home with us and that God will fill her heart with trust as He invites her to step out in faith. We have so much joy in our hearts tonight and it humbles me to think of the good things to come.

Wow!!! I cannot believe how much Annelise has grown, since the last pictures were posted of her. It seems like only yesterday that she was born!!! She is too cute, and just think she will soon have a new playmate!!! The house will surely be so full of musical laughter, you won’t know what to do. I can hardly wait to start seeing Qavah’s pics as she starts to become a part of your precious family. take care and know that God will be with you every step of the way!!
    Love always

This is the longest I’ve gone without reading the blog - almost a week. Boy am I behind! It’s just been crazy busy in Kansas. I’ll pray for your trip - and I’m so excited Qavah will be coming home. I pray the transition will go smoothly.

Wow…sounds like a wonderful day!! I was blessed with lots of laughter at work today which was really great. :-) You really can’t laugh too much in life, I don’t think. God must smile when He hears us enjoying something. I will be in prayer about the trip to pick Qavah up. I trust God will guide this as He has everything else.

Oh, and Annelise is the cutest baby–she looks so happy! :-)
    love and prayers,
    Jen :-)

We are so excited to hear you are going to pick up Qavah! We prayed for you all at Small Group today and will continue to do so. Please let us know how we can help you. We already have Qavah on the Sunday School roster and can’t wait to welcome her into the Wellspring family!
With love and prayers…Sara and Walt
