This day has been filled with good things. We have been getting ready to go for Qavah, and scrambling to finish projects this weekend that we don’t want hanging over us when we get back. Every time I saw Katy today she was busy doing something. She has been feeling very well. Last night she was able to host a Missions Committee meeting here at the house after having a full day. We are grateful beyond words that she is feeling that way. We can leave her knowing that she is on medication that is actually working quite well. She also has a steady stream of family and friends coming to stay or visit with her while we are away.
Qavah is busy in Louisiana packing her things. Her foster mother is putting things in a big box until we get there with her luggage. I wonder what things we will discover about her by the things she has packed to bring home with her. Paul and I are so thankful for the way things have worked out. It is turning out to be quite an adventure. We are heading to the town that is the first settlement in the Louisiana purchase. Neither of us know anything about it but I expect before we leave Paul will read all about it. I said something tonight at dinner about life being an adventure and Paul said, “adventure is just another word for trouble.” I knew that had to be a line from a book and asked him which one. He grinned and said, “Louis L’Amour.”Comments:
