Normal Day!

For those of you who have followed the blog for awhile, you know how we have longed for a plain ol’ normal day. Today we had one. There were no appointments, no extra pain medications, and no health issues. We played, we did the laundry, and hung the sheets on the line. As I moved through the day I had a sense of sweet rest. We all did. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for days like these. Katy ate three tablespoons of rice, a little well cooked asparagus, and tilapia with lemon for dinner. That is the most she has had to eat at one time in five weeks. It is all staying down and nourishing her body. Our souls well up with hallelujahs.

Dear Katy, I am so glad that all of you FINALLY had a normal day! And that you were actually able to eat one reasonable meal. It sounded deluscious! Your Uncle Tony calls asparagus “The King’s Vegetable”; but today it was eaten by 3 princesses! and probably a prince or two!

I’m praising God with you and PRAYING that tomorrow will be another normal day and that you can eat another blueberry pancake! Love, Aunt Lil

I smiled when I checked in tonight… the reason… As I drove by today I gave thanks for the sheets hanging on the line. For some odd reason I had a feeling they wouldnt have been hanging there had it not been a somewhat peaceful day. I am glad that assumtion was right.

Those calm “normal” days are such a blessing. Makes me think of Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest…. Resting in the Lord, knowing He is in charge, and knowing that this day the focus was on bringing peace and nourishment. Nourishment through Katy being able to eat and keep it down, but Nourishment for the entire family as you were able relax and bond and reflect on what God is doing in your lives.

I Thank God for your day…. I thank Him for the smile I recieved from those awesome sheets hanging from the line today… and I thank Him for the wonderful neighbors down the street…

    God Bless

Praise the LOrd………you all deserve many more normal days…………we will have a baby shower on Saturday for Julianna. She is expecting a baby girl in February. Sunday we will drive to Chester, Pa for Jack’s godmother’s 91 birthday. My report cards are done and we are into the second quarter at school. WE had a marvelous field trip yesterday to a farm. The fall weather was perfect for the hayride. We are all thankful for healthy times at the Campbell home. Hugs to all, Linda
