Sunday Night

We are giving Katy as much medication as we can to try to keep her comfortable but it is not enough. I spoke to the GI doctor on call this afternoon and went over the things we were doing. The conclusion we came to was just to wait until tomorrow when I can speak directly with Katy’s GI doctor. It is all we can do. I have several appointments tomorrow with Qavah, but Katy is our main concern right now. Most doctors aren’t prepared to take on an emergency in the middle of their scheduled appointments. So if you wouldn’t mind asking the Lord to open some time in his day to see her, we’d appreciate that.

With so much medication in Katy’s system, today she asked me questions about yesterday. She couldn’t remember yesterday. I asked if she could remember that we had tea with the Queen and she laughed. I told her not to feel bad because I didn’t remember doing that either.

  1. Lillian Oliveira Says:

Dawn, its so wonderful that you can bring humour and laughter into this difficult situation. May the Lord continue to give you creative ideas to help your two daughters deal with these crises. You know I am praying for you all. LOve, Aunt Lil

  2. Anne Poler Says:

    Katy and family,

I’m praying for you. I pray for rest for all of you, pain and nausea relief, and an appointment for tomorrow. God bless you this night.

  3. Jes Says:

    Katy -
I’m so sorry that things are difficult. You know you are in my thouhgts and prayers! We packed shoe boxes at church yesterday and afterwards the kids made you a card…I worked on the letters (while holding Isaiah) and the kids drew the pictures. When we got home, Josh asked them what they did and they promptly told him that they made you a card. Josh asked them what it said and Noah replied “Jesus loves you.”….which is not what our card said - but I thought it was probably better than what I wrote! “Out of the mouths of babes!” I don’t know if you are able to see a computer right now - but I’m sending a link of some pictures of Isaiah. He is such a happy, social little guy.

I love you my friend and I’m praying that your doctor is able to see you this morning and that he has some devine wisdom and insight!
