Jennifer worked hard all day but at 5:07 all that work paid off and little Annelise took a big breath of life and Jennifer took a deep sigh of relief. She delivered the baby naturally, without any pain management. The nurses said she was the best and most composed mother they had ever worked with. Colin is beaming from ear to ear. He is smitten by this tiny girl! What a day of wonder.
Our parents are celebrating sixty years of marriage on November 30th. They will be driving to Roanoke this coming week to hold their first great-grandchild. What a gift. There is going to be a lot of celebrating, and we are hopeful tonight that Katy will be able to be at home, enjoying all the festivities.
We arrived at the hospital known as Mom, Dad, and Katy. Tonight we left the hospital and have the honor of being called Nonny, PaPa, and Aunt Katy. DELIGHT!
